about

Inside stories of great Glasgow buildings reveal changing fortunes of a dynamic city.

Welcome to Glasgow’s Landmarks Tour, brought to you by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust in collaboration with Walking Heads. This audio tour will take you inside eight of Glasgow’s most intriguing landmarks.

From Glasgow Cathedral up to the Necropolis, from The Glasgow School of Art down to The Clydeport – this is a journey through changing times and shifting fortunes; history recorded in stone and steel, mahogany and (almost literally) miles of marble.

At each stop we meet experts who bring the buildings to life, describing the grand visions and meticulous attention to detail which are the essence of all great architecture.

We’ve suggested an order to explore the buildings but feel free to take the tour at your own pace in whatever order suits you best.

Glasgow’s Landmarks Tour complements Doors Open Day which takes place in September every year. See www.glasgowdoorsopenday.com.
