about

Heading back up towards Bridgeton Cross, it's hard to imagine how heavily industrialised this area would have been 150 years ago.

We are going to meet evidence of contemporary culture which celebrates the everyday lives of real people, as in the Dialectograms of Mitch Miller.

Look for a sign for Tunnocks, the much-loved teacake which features in the Scotland Can Make It exhibition of Commonwealth Games souvenirs. Claire Duffy, a product designer, collaborated with Tunnock’s and Chesapake Packaging to create the Tunnock’s Medals, reworking the packaging for the teacakes in gold, silver and bronze.

Further along, Sue John tells us about the different display of badges of honour on show in Glasgow Women's Library.
